Our Story

BGL Corporate Solutions Pty Ltd was established in 1983 as a consulting firm to assist accountants and small businesses to gain more value from their computer systems.

In 1989, BGL released the Corporate Affairs System (CAS), expanding its traditional consultancy business by adding a software manufacturing division.

In 1997, BGL extended its Product Suite by releasing Simple Fund, Simple Invest and Simple Ledger. These products were designed to help accountants provide exceptional service to their clients.

Over the ensuing period, BGL has grown to be one of the largest suppliers of compliance software for corporate secretarial and superannuation fund management in the world.

BGL is now Australia’s leading developer of SMSF administration and ASIC corporate compliance software solutions.

BGL cloud solutions include Simple Fund 360, Australia’s leading cloud SMSF administration software solution used by over 2,000 businesses representing 100,000 SMSFs and CAS 360, the next generation cloud ASIC corporate compliance software solution.

BGL desktop solutions include Simple Fund, used to administer over 70% of Australian SMSFs. CAS, used to administer over 45% of Australian companies and Simple Ledger, used by over 500 Australian business and professional firms.




Today BGL boasts a client base of over 7,500 businesses in 15 countries including Australia’s largest accounting practices, law firms, financial planning and public company groups.

BGL employs a team of over 120 people to handle software development, support, training, client development, marketing and administration.
