Simple Ledger Version 3.1 (16/10/2008) is currently available on our web site. To download the latest update, please log in to the BGL Client Centre.

Please note the following Important Information before running the update:
Simple Ledger is required to be run from the server with a user account with administration rights to the server
You can not run this update from a workstation connected to the serve
You can not install this update with a limited user account if you are running a standalone (single user non networked PC
Nexus strongly recommends that you setup the database files on the same local drive where the database is to be installed


There is a number of new features in the latest update.
-an ability to edit Text Font in the reporting tab enabling clients to edit and set a default font for all text reports. font style and size can
- code clean up made the software more efficient in creating a new ledger, opening a ledger and performing the index function
- added investment portfolio transactions data import from XPlan and included an option to export Chart of Accounts required for our clients who also use Bank Link
- when entering in bank statements the narrations for both entries will be identical, previously narrations to the bank side of the entries read "Bank Statement Posting"
- improved account code and transaction date change facilities
- a new Simple Ledger Configuration Tool has been developed and included in this release to help identify incorrect and multiple installation issues

For our clients in Singapore, we have significantly improved reporting facilities within Simple Ledger. We have added Auditors Report and Directors Statement to Text Documents in Reporting options.  In order to use the new system reports, clients will be required to restore system text defaults.
XBRL Financial Statements can now be prepared in Simple Ledger by clicking on Prepare Financial Statements within the ACRA XBRL Financial Statements screen. The financial statements that can be prepared are Directors Report, Directors Statement, Auditors Report, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of changes in Equity, Cash Flow Statement and Notes to the financial Statements.

Tip of the Month

Simple Ledger can be enabled to automatically download licensed ASX  and UUT data and load the data directly into the security screen.  The values are used to automatically revalue the investments on the investment reports.

The process is fully integrated within Simple Ledger with no third party software required. All support is handled directly by BGL Support Consultants.  To use the facility you need to subscribe to the BGL Client Services ASX&UUT Data Feed. The BGL Client Services ASX&UUT Data Feed Service can provide daily, monthly, quarterly or annual data depending on each client’s individual needs.
