It has been almost a year since the notifiable data breaches legislation came into effect, and in this time, the ATO has been working on introducing various new security measures, many of which will impact accountants.

In this episode of Accountants Daily Insider, host Katarina Taurian is joined by Jamie Beresford, CEO of Practice Protect, and Ron Lesh, managing director at BGL, to discuss the impact of these changes on individuals within the sector and also the role of the accounting firm in managing the passwords and security of their practices and staff.

They will discuss a potential future shift away from password authentication, the different “levels” of passwords that people tend to use in different circumstances, and whether further education is needed in the field of cyber security.
