CAS 360 adds electronic share transaction filing in Singapore

BGL Corporate Solutions (BGL), one of the world’s leading providers of compliance management software, is proud to announce electronic share transaction filing with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) in Singapore is now available in its company secretarial software solution, CAS 360.

“We are excited to release this highly anticipated and industry-first feature to clients,” said Ron Lesh, BGL’s Managing Director. “The ability to quickly file a transfer of shares in CAS 360 directly with the ACRA will provide clients with greater efficiencies. And we are the first company secretarial software in Singapore that can do this, which is a huge achievement for our team.”

CAS 360 Singapore clients can now complete their share transactions in CAS 360, prepare all the required documents for their clients and file the share transactions with the ACRA after the paperwork is signed.

Warren Renden, Head of CAS 360 at BGL, said: “In CAS 360, we are always looking to deliver productivity-boosting features. Working with the ACRA to deliver the ability to file share transactions electronically has been great, and the ability to seamlessly file share transactions is a fantastic process improvement.”

CAS 360 is a cloud-based company secretarial software designed to help accounting firms and corporate service providers efficiently manage their clients’ company compliance obligations in one innovative and user-friendly platform. With its superior automation, CAS 360 prepares all the forms, minutes/resolutions, registers and other documents required for the Annual Return and common changes made by Singapore companies. In addition, CAS 360 is the first company secretarial software approved by Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) to file company Annual Returns electronically.

The selections will help drive the firm’s strategic growth and innovation, says BGL.

Australian company compliance and SMSF software provider BGL Corporate Solutions has appointed a seven-person executive team to help drive the strategic growth and innovation of the firm.

BGL’s managing director Ron Lesh said he is excited by the high calibre of individuals that the executive and the combined knowledge will bring to the positions.

“I’m so proud of each member of the BGL executive team,” said Mr Lesh.

“Comprised of seven individuals with a combined total of 123 years of service at BGL, these leaders bring extensive experience and unwavering dedication to driving BGL’s strategic growth and innovation.”

“Our products, clients and team could not be in better hands.”

The firm said the appointed executive team will have a strong emphasis on driving growth and development to retain, educate and grow their staff, clients, partners and the industries it works in.

The appointed members of the BGL Executive team are:

  • Ashley Avileli – chief technology officer – Mr Avileli joined BGL in 2006 as an IT manager and has worked within the company ever since. BGL said his focus and effort help keep BGL’s cloud software running every day.
  • Adriana Cavallo – head of customer experience (APAC) – Ms Cavallo joined the firm in 2012 and BGL said she’s been focused on ensuring BGL clients have positive experiences ever since.
  • Nadine Freitag – people and culture manager – Despite only joining BGL two years ago, the firm said Ms Freitag is crucial to its commitment to developing its team and providing a beneficial workplace environment.
  • Ron Lesh – founder and managing director – Mr Lesh started BGL in 1989 and has maintained his commitment to create and innovate products important for the industry.
  • Warren Renden – head of CAS 360 – With over 16 years of experience at the firm, it said Mr Renden has a relentless focus on product, team and client experience within CAS 360.
  • Jeevan Tokhi – head of Simple Fund 360 – After joining BGL in 2005 as a support consultant, the firm said Mr Tokhi is a critical strategic thinker who has provided crucial outcomes for the firm and its clients.
  • Daniel Tramontana – chief executive officer – With 26 years of experience at BGL, it said Mr Tramontana has driven the company forward with his passion for leadership and his dedication to the BGL team, its clients and the community.

Mr Tramontana said the appointment of the executive team has been a positive next step as the firm looks to continue to build and grow.

Simple Fund 360 Trustee Edition Software Subscription Renewal Fee Increase – 1 October 2023

BGL will increase the Simple Fund 360 Trustee Edition software subscription renewal fee from 1 October 2023.

BGL has not increased the Simple Fund 360 Trustee Edition software subscription fee since the product was first launched in 2014.

Over the past 9 years, the Simple Fund 360 Team has released updates every 3 weeks with hundreds of new features, enhancements and compliance changes.

The time has therefore come to increase the Simple Fund 360 Trustee Edition software subscription fee.

From 1 October 2023, the Simple Fund 360 Trustee Edition software subscription renewal fee will increase from $200.00 plus GST to $250.00 plus GST.

BGL first to release 2023 SMSF Annual Tax Return

BGL Corporate Solutions, Australia’s leading provider of company compliance, self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) and investment management software, has announced the release of the 2023 SMSF Annual Tax Return in its SMSF administration software solution, Simple Fund 360.

“I am continually impressed with our Simple Fund 360 team,” said Ron Lesh, BGL’s Managing Director. “Since 1 January 2023, they have delivered 6 significant updates, including support for the 2023 SMSF Annual Return 6 weeks before the end of the financial year and even SBR electronic lodgment before 30 June 2023.”

Released on 18 May 2023, the Simple Fund 360 tax time update supports the 2023 SMSF Annual Tax Return, complete with all the required supporting schedules and electronic lodgment to the ATO from 1 July 2023. SBR electronic lodgment has also been switched on following ATO system updates. Support for newly registered funds and funds winding up for the 2023 Annual Return is also supported.

BGL’s free open API was also updated, allowing clients to seamlessly send the 2023 SMSF Annual Tax Return from Simple Fund 360 to Xero Tax and LodgeiT for lodgment.

On 15 June 2023, BGL released Part 2 of its tax time update, which includes support for the 2023 Trust and Company Income Tax Returns in its accounting, investment, and tax software, Simple Invest 360. SBR electronic lodgment is also available.
